Post Doctoral Research Associate in Wolbachia Biology

Ready to make a difference in vector biology research? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic researcher to join an exciting BBSRC-funded project exploring the fascinating interactions between Wolbachia and Anopheles mosquitoes. Based within the dynamic Mosquito Symbiosis and Infection (MosSI) group at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, you’ll work at the forefront of vector biology research in the Departments of Vector Biology and Tropical Disease Biology.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with researchers from University of Warwick and Michigan State University to investigate the effect of host genetics on Wolbachia-mediated phenotypes, microbiota-Wolbachia interactions, factors that influence microinjection success and the influence of temperature on Wolbachia interaction with the host.
