About the role...

Location: Walsall Head Office

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Poundland to be the first point of contact for all visitors and guests at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall.

Your primary responsibilities will include offering a professional and friendly welcome to all visitors, managing internal and external post, handling parcel deliveries, directing phone calls and emails, and performing general administrative tasks to maintain a high standard of service in the reception area.

Work Hours: This role offers flexibility. One person can work full-time (40 hours per week), or two people can work part-time (20 hours per week, either 9 am-1 pm or 1 pm-5 pm).

Your Impact and Responsibilities…

  • Taking and directing calls and emails.
  • Welcoming visitors, registering their arrival, issuing visitor passes, directing them to the relevant person, and informing them of building safety requirements.
  • Car park registration to ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Post and parcel handling.
  • Administrative support to provide general ad-hoc administrative duties for the Property team.
  • Reception area maintenance to ensure the reception area is always clear, safe, and tidy.

Skills and Knowledge…

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Outlook.
  • Front-facing/Reception experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great organisational Skills.
