Vice President of Economic Operations

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Economic Operations - directs the architecture, design, development, and optimization of AirBoss of America's information technology systems and functions in support of company and customer strategic business processes. This individual is directly responsible for the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Master Data Management, Systems Architecture, Development, and ERP teams.

Responsibilities:

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Align IT objectives and programs to organizational objectives and strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate IT activities and initiatives across the organization.
• Define metrics based on overall long term and immediate organizational objectives.
• Control performance objectives and provide business with status reports on performance status.
• Develop and manage overall technology budget with the divisions.
• Optimize in-house versus outsourced services, both from a strategic delivery and cost perspective
• Establish and manage strategic partnership service provider relationships.
• Align IT risk management with organization wide risk management priorities.
• Development of a master data management strategy for the organization
• Develop, communicate and maintain appropriate IT governance.
• Lead Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team
• Analysis of the business, competitive, domestic, and international economic factors to determine their impact on the business of the company.
• Produce clear, concise presentations for Quarterly and Annual Budget Board meetings.
• Provide insightful economic advice and analysis to the CFO and all Executive Committee members and their direct reports.

• Ability and willingness to be hands on and dive deep into the details.
• Excellent financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills for executive and board level consumption.
• Expert in consolidating large and varied sets of economic data into concise business summaries.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills around detailed financial data.
• Demonstrate leadership and creative skills to design new business models and support organizational shift.
• Ability to partner with leadership around strategic objectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels of an organization.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong focus on the team.
• Must enjoy a fast-moving and complex multi-product or multi-delivery environment.
  
  

Skills / Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business Administration and Management or Economics
• Solid business and economic background, as well as specialized experience utilizing specialized business intelligence and analytics software.
• Minimum of 10 years work experience as a business/economic analyst plus senior managerial experience
• The mental ability to apply logic in identifying and Considering Alternatives to arrive at valid conclusions that will aid the organization in making sound decisions.
• Ability to apply various statistical techniques to carry out data analysis, and also develop macro-economic forecast models.
• Manufacturing industry essential, Public Company experience an advantage.
• Prior M&A and corporate development experience preferred.
