Hourly:

Hourly Wage Scale: $21.25 - $35.39 USD hourly + Benefits (+ Bonus)


The hourly range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, exact compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.


Shift Differential Pay:

Graveyard - $0.75

SUMMARY


Responsible for disposing of potato wastes and waste water and keeping accurate records of the disposal operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
Operates and understands the function of all Waste Treatment plant equipment.
Loads potato waste trucks.
Records and administers load tickets.
Performs and maintains desired parameters established for each level of operation.
Repairs and maintains waste treatment equipment
Utilizes CMMS system to input daily workloads, perform work orders, and assign work orders to the other operators.
Monitors, records, and interprets data regarding the operation of the Waste Treatment Plant.
Analyzes and troubleshoots operating equipment to maximize performance.
Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
Keeps Waste Treatment Plant clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
Participates in continuous improvement process.


The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.


REPRESENTATION

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY


Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.


Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.


  • Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.


Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages, draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, to deal with problems involving a few concrete variable standardized situations.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES


Mechanical aptitude preferred
Welding skills helpful.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Valid McCain Forklift Operator’s License.
Must have supply of Lock Out/Tag Out identification cards and locks.
