Job Description

The First Judicial District has an immediate opening for a Trial Court Supervisor II to join our team. The counties we anticipate this position to supervise will be: Allamakee, Clayton, and Winneshiek, but adjustments may be made based on the domicile of the successful candidate.

The pay range for this position is $47,070.40 - $70,407.00, annually.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Under general direction, supervises the work of employees engaged in clerical and technical duties related to processing and maintaining court records and materials for the office of the Clerk of District Court. Performs a wide variety of responsible technical and administrative work related to the offices supervised.

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

An applicant must meet the requirements below to meet the qualifications for the position.

Education/Experience Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school (GED) and two (2) years of successful completion of accredited post high school education in business, paralegal, legal assistant, finance or bookkeeping, or related program, and
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in business, government, legal, or other

closely-related area, which is in an administrative, clerical, or supervisory capacity with

a court is preferred. Of that experience, one year of customer service experience is

required, or c. A combination of six (6) years of education and relevant professional experience in business, government, legal or other closely-related area, which is in an administrative,

clerical, or supervisory capacity with a court; substitution of one year of relevant

experience in one of the named areas will be allowed for 30 semester hours of

education, up to two (2) years or 60 semester hours total.
