Your role at St John of God Healthcare at Home
We are seeking applications for an Administration Assistant to join our Osborne Park team on a casual basis.
The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive and collaborative administrative support to the Healthcare at Home (HAH) team, in the completion of clerical functions for patient’s admission through to discharge, and provide a high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
The Position
  • Collaborates with the clinical teams to support the seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Responds to patient queries with appropriate escalation to clinical resources.
  • Compilation and management of the patient file including patient admission documentation, care plans, medications charts and clinical notes in accordance with the National Standards.
  • Processes patient referrals including scheduling visits to ensure appropriate allocation of resources giving consideration to skills and geographical location to optimize efficiencies.
  • Provides accurate data entry of patient information using the Patient Management System in alignment with procedures.
  • Completes health fund checks and supports the follow up of all funding extensions including requests for ex gratia payments.
Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar position, excellent verbal & written communication skills and strong computer literacy. Experience working with Health Funds and Patient Management Systems will be highly desirable.

  • Salary: $42 to $45.33 (incl. 25% loading) plus 11.5% Superannuation
  • Casual position
