Founded in 1978, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. (Formosa Plastics) is a growing, vertically-integrated supplier of plastic resins and petrochemicals. Formosa Plastics offers a full line of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and polypropylene resins, caustic soda and other petrochemicals that deliver the consistency, performance and quality that customers demand. We market our polypropylene and polyethylene resins under the Formolene® tradename; we market our suspension PVC and specialty (dispersion) PVC resins under the Formolon® tradename. We also produce and sell caustic soda, ethylene dichloride, commercial bleach and hydrochloric acid.

Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
Title: Administrative Assistant
Department: General Affairs
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To perform clerical/administrative functions in support of departmental goals to efficiently facilitate departmental operations.
II. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree relevant to the department or High School Graduate or Equivalent with 2 yrs. Clerical experience required.
2. Valid Driver’s License
3. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, preferred
4. Knowledge of AS400, ERP Websmart, preferred
5. Type 50 WPM required
III. TRAINING
Additional training available after hire.
IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform various receptionist, hospitality, concierge style duties.
2. Answering incoming calls, screen calls, and forward calls to the appropriate person.
3. Managing reservation calendars in MS Outlook or other platforms.
4. Performing administrative tasks
5. Receptionists may perform other administrative tasks, such as keeping records. They may also monitor security and telecommunications systems. Prepare and assist with various departmental reports including monthly reports.
6. Assist Management with monthly reports.
7. Assist and maintain departmental manuals.
8. Use good verbal and written communication to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written and non-verbal communication skills (to inform, instruct, and persuade), to multiple audiences, as well as to listen for meaning and understanding.
9. Purchase and maintain office supplies.
10. Process and maintain invoices.
11. Data entry.
12. Process Credit Card expenditures for Department.
13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
14. Display cooperativeness, ability to work as a team player and provide a constructive respectful attitude.
15. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
16. Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
17. Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup and disposal.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

VI. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
1. Climbing, ascending or descending ladder, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
2. Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
3. Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist. Example: catching samples, moving boxes.
4. Kneeling: bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
5. Crouching bends the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
6. Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
7. Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
8. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
9. Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
10. Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
11. Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
12. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

17. Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1,000 Hz, and 2,000 Hz with or without correction, Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine adjustments on machined parts.
18. Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
VII. VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED
a. Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.

c. Other criteria based on accuracy and neatness of work.
d. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth, and perception.
VIII. CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO THIS POSITION
a. Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily room temperature conditions.
b. Inside and outside conditions, no effective protection from weather.
c. Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise.
d. Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dust.
e. Not exposed to any adverse environmental conditions (usually office work).
