Support Staff Job Location Timmins Job Features Job Category Full-Time Competition # 24-45 Closing Date Aug. 13, 2024 Effective Date Immediately Classification Support Staff, Payband E Division Internal/External Salary Range $ 27.81 to $ 32.24 Starting Salary $ 27.81 Hours of Work 35 hrs/wk Northern College is seeking an Assistant, Registrar and Admissions in our Registrar and Institutional Research department. The successful candidate will be professional with strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and will possess excellent time management skills and have the ability to pay close attention to detail. Previous experience with MIS would be considered an asset. Reporting to the Registrar, the successful candidate will assist the Admissions and the Admissions Officers with assessing applications, responding to applicants’ queries, inputting relevant program admission data, producing admissions correspondence (through MIS system) and making changes to important external-facing documents that are used by prospects, applicants, and the general public. The successful candidate will also support Student Records and the Student Records officer in responding to requests for transcripts, credentials and other critical documents, tracking all steps of transcript and credential creation for the purposes of reporting on service quality. What you will be doing: Coordinate ordering of items and assembly of print and electronic acceptance packages, which are a critical point of connection, marketing, and recruitment with applicants; Serve as the first point of contact for clients (such as students, graduates and program areas) regarding troubleshooting, access and use of the MyCreds online credential wallet; and Coordinate and participate in the production of all graduation documents, letters, transcripts, diplomas, and coordinate timelines and delivery with college departments and partner institutions for convocation ceremonies, mail-outs, campus pick-up, or electronic release. What you will need to be considered: Two-year diploma in Office Administration, Business or related/relevant field; Minimum two years of recent office experience in a computerized environment that requires a high level of language skills to clearly and credibly explain policies, procedures and guidelines to internal and external clients; and In-depth knowledge/work history in a multidepartment/complex organization, which requires interdepartmental collaboration, and responsibility for multiple, concurrent processes is required.
