POSITION TITLE: Book keeper
REPORTS TO: Head of finance or the director
This role is to ensure the smooth functioning of the financial operations at Be 6 Group Limited, maintain accurate and compliant financial records. Its primary responsibility is to ensure the day-to-day accounting tasks for Be 6 Group Limited and to ensure that financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain and update general ledgers: Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded in the company's general ledger.
- Post journal entries: Record and categorize financial transactions like expenses, revenues, and payroll entries.
- Reconcile accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable: Oversee the processing of incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring invoices are paid on time and collections are efficiently
managed.
2. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing financial statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all transactions for the period are accurately recorded.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
3. Payroll Processing
- Ensure that employee wages are calculated correctly, deductions are accurate, and tax filings are compliant.
- Maintain records of employee benefits in an accurate and professional manner.
- Ensure payroll is processed according to relevant tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
4. Tax Compliance
- Assist and help with preparing and filing tax returns
- Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and ensure that the company complies with all applicable tax regulations.
5. Cash Flow Management
- Track the organization's cash position to ensure there is enough liquidity to meet operational needs.
6. Internal Controls
- Ensure financial controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, or misappropriation of company funds.
- Keep all financial documentation and records in an accurate and professional manner.
7. Software Management
- Manage and use accounting software to record financial transactions and generate reports.
- Ensure the organization's accounting systems are functioning properly and recommend improvements as needed.
8. Budgeting and Financial Planning Support
- Assist with preparing annual budgets and track performance against budgeted figures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A level 4 or higher qualification in accounting, finance,or economics, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Remuneration: $24 -$26 per hour depending on your abilities
work time: Monday to Friday 30 hours per week guaranteed
