As part of the New Graduate Program offered by Siemens, Digital Industries Canada is looking for a Data Analyst to support the Digital Business & Infrastructure team.
What will you do?
- Work with a team of data scientists/ engineers on the most pressing problems facing the business to-date
- Transform, analyze, and derive insights from data to service a wide array of business functions (i.e., sales, marketing, customer service, logistics, etc.)
- Work with senior data science colleagues on machine learning solutions
- Take ownership of business intelligence applications; develop and enhance these solutions over time to meet the changing needs of the business
- Build a strong understanding of the business to bridge the gap between business problems and analytics solutions; take on the role of a partner rather than a service provider
- Identify and pitch new analytics initiatives with "value-add" to the business
- Exhibit a growth-mindset of "continuous learning" and professional development
- New graduate from a Masters Degree in Data Sciences, Computer Sciences
- Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
- Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
- Internship or co-op experience in a data-related role is an strong asset
- Proficiency in Python programming and SQL is a MUST
- Knowledge with Git/ GitHub is an asset
- Knowledge with any Business Intelligence (BI) platform (i.e., PowerBI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.) is a strong asset
- Knowledge with Statistical Modelling and Machine Learning
