As a Barclays Data Privacy Analyst, you will provide assistance for the Senior Data Privacy Manager, assisting with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the data privacy transformation programme. The role focuses on assisting with data privacy communications strategy, training, AI governance framework and IB Data Privacy Governance Operations. You will be assisting in the creation and implementation of privacy training and awareness programs.

What will you be doing?

• Aiding the Senior Data Privacy Manager in developing and executing the data privacy communications strategy
• Assisting in the creation and implementation of privacy training and awareness programs
• Helping design and manage the AI Governance framework to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and ethical standards
• Supporting privacy governance operations, including monitoring compliance with the Data Privacy Standard and escalating key risks and issues as needed
• Conducting privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability, supporting business with Privacy by Design requirements &implementation
• Reviewing technical implementation details and design documentation for new systems and features to ensure compliance with policy and legal requirements
• Acting as first point of contact for IB wide Data Privacy matters, ensuring these are manages/escalated as required
• Maintaining and reporting on relevant KPIs/KRIs that correspond to the defined risk appetite

What we’re looking for:

• Some experience in privacy and data issues arising in one or more privacy areas, data sharing, security, or privacy program implementation/management
• Experience working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering practical advice
• Relationship management and business partnering and collaboration across the business
• Working knowledge of data analysis, including the use of SWL and other analytical tools

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Legal/Compliance academic background
• Some experience gained in a data privacy environment within financial services
• Knowledge of key data privacy and AI Governance policy issues such accountability, transparency, privacy risk
