Head of Planning & Analytics

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to make an impact in a new role within the Strategy, Planning and Analytics Service at the University of Plymouth. The Strategy, Planning and Analytics Service supports strategy development and delivery by managing strategic projects, delivering the planning process and providing data and insights to customers across the University.

In this role you will be responsible for developing an effective planning partner service, coaching and developing team members to provide analysis and insights to customers that will deliver improved performance across the University. You will have the opportunity to shape the planning process and will lead on ensuring that strategic decisions are informed by high quality evidence.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of the University’s Data Strategy – working collaboratively with data owners across the University to integrate new data domains into the University’s data lake; ensuring that the Data Governance framework is implemented and working with customers to develop intuitive, user friendly dashboards and reports.

To be successful in this role you will need a strong background in planning and analytics with demonstrable experience of transforming data into actionable insights and ensuring strategic planning conversations are informed by evidence. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders building effective relationships to ensure that the team are a trusted source of advice and support across the University and will role model openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.

For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can acommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
