Kidventure OSCAR After School Care Assistant

Kidventure is looking for vibrant, enthusiastic and proactive staff memeber on a Part Time Permanent basis to join our team in Frankton, Hamilton

This Assistant position offers 13.75 hours per week during school terms (2:30pm-5:15pm) and between 40-45 hours per week during School Holiday Programme which are offered as additional hours. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 2:30pm - 5:15pm all weekdays for the school terms.

Kidventure is a well-established and very successful Before School, After School and Holiday Programme provider for 5-13-year-old children. We pride ourselves on offering a safe and encouraging environment for the children who attend our programmes, and a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment for the staff who deliver these programmes for us.

This Assistant position would require supporting the programme Supervisors and Managers in the day-day programme delivery, assisting with preparing materials and equipment for all activities, implementing planned activities, school pick up and roll call, afternoon tea preperation and serving, interacting with children and their families and must be physically fit (specifically swimming as our Holiday Programme spends a lot of time in the water).

Additional Requirements:

• Clean Police Clearance
• Full driver’s license and own transportation.

• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to use the initiative and multi-task
• Ideally understands the supervisory responsibilities
• Previous childcare experience is beneficial but not essential (specifically for children between 5-13)
