PJN Pakistan has initiated a two years Pakistan Youth Leadership Initiative (PYLI) Project in partnership with the British Council for Youth Climate Action for Grassroots Communities in Lahore, Faisalabad and Sheikhupura.
Youth Led Climate Actions (YLCAs) are a core feature of this project. YLA typically involves a group of 5-10 young people who plan a community project and implement using improved social responsibility and leadership skills on one of the climate actions described in the table below.

PJN is looking for highly motivated and dynamic team members with strong commitment to climate justice for following full time position in Lahore.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) & Reporting Officer (1 Position - Lahore) - ToRs
S/he will provide technical field support to the project unit and will work closely with Program teams to assess field conditions, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the British Council’s M and E manager.
Supporting the project team in reviewing and preparing monthly, quarterly and final narrative and financial donors’ reports.
Additionally, s/he will replace or work with other members of the team, as need be, follow up of project expenses and indicators, implementation of processes, standard operating procedures and any other tasks given to her/him by the project leads.
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties
- Support all M&E initiatives for assigned grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring data quality, uploading and tracking the progress of activities on the PYLI LMS, and contributing to staff capacity building initiatives as necessary.
- Support the project team in creating a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
- Support the Project coordinator in defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.
- Support project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress.
- Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures under the supervision of the M&E lead internally and externally (eg. logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart, and M&E manuals)
- Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within Program field teams as per the guidelines of the donor.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions.
- Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and to verify the accuracy of reported data.
- Support the project unit to ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support and participate in program and project evaluations
The MEL and Reporting Officer will support the British Council’s M and E manager in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all project deliverables.
MEL and Reporting Officer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Information Management, Social Science, IT
- At least total of five years of work experience out of which three years in Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential)
- Understanding of Results Based Project Management Framework
- Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports
- Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in a non-governmental organization
