Trainee Controlling (Assistant Controller)

In this versatile role, you will be part of the Finance department. You will collaborate with the Assistant Controllers and report to the Business Controller. You will provide support in the financial controls of the transport organization. Your responsibilities include:

• Collecting financial data and verifying its accuracy and completeness;
• Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts;
• Supporting the preparation, analysis, interpretation, and discussion of various periodic financial reports, such as monthly and year-end closings;
• Setting up and reviewing credit and debit provisions;
• Completing, verifying, and discussing results in KPI reports;
• Contributing positively to process and result improvements.

You will primarily perform these tasks at the office in Bergen op Zoom, but it is possible that you will also periodically visit other locations across the Netherlands.

• Completed HBO or WO education in a business or financial economics field;
• Entry-level position, work experience in a similar role is not required;
• Excellent proficiency in MS Excel;
• Knowledge of Tableau and/or SAP is a plus;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to quickly and accurately process large amounts of data;
• Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility;
