Business Unit Overview

Our Operations unit is the engine room of Superloop - responsible for maintaining and supporting all of our products and internal technical infrastructure to ensure the best possible service to both our customers and our very own business. Our Operations unit is responsible for ensuring that the business has the technical capability and capacity to deliver services to all Superloop customers ranging from Home Broadband to International Wholesale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Packing Products: Securely pack items for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit
  • Labelling: Accurately label packages with shipping information and product details.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure compliance with packing standards
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to achieve daily packing and shipping goals.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organised work area for safety and efficiency.
  • Prepare the Devices and Labels:
  • Ensure you have an accurate list of devices requiring labels, including their corresponding serial numbers.
  • Gather the necessary materials: label printer, compatible label sheets, and barcode scanner.
  • Scanning the Serial Numbers:
  • Use a barcode scanner to capture the serial numbers, which are often encoded in a barcode format. This process may be linked to a database or inventory management system for seamless tracking.
  • If the serial numbers are provided in a digital format (e.g., a CSV file), ensure they are ready to be imported into the printing system.
  • Printing the Labels:
  • Connect the label printer and label design software. Ensure that the serial number and any other required information (such as device name or model number) are formatted correctly for printing.
  • Adjust the settings to ensure clear, legible output, particularly for barcodes, which should be scannable.
  • Attaching the Labels:
  • Once printed, carefully affix the labels to the corresponding devices. Ensure the barcode or serial number is prominently visible and positioned for easy scanning.
  • Verify that the label is securely attached to avoid damage or peeling over time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous warehouse or packing experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail · Computer Literate for scanning and printing the labels (Training will be provided)
