The Opportunity
At Shine, we champion better justice for our clients. And as a part-time, permanent (3 days per week) Receptionist in our team based in Sydney CBD office , that starts with you. You’ll be the first person our clients meet with, making meaningful, long-lasting impact every day - for the people we support, our legal teams and the entire firm.
This role is a part-time permanent 3 days per week role, performing reception based responsibilities.

With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
- Cultivating strong relationships and trust through empathy and understanding, interpreting client needs and connecting them with the right legal team members, whilst based on reception.
- Responding to inbound calls, couriers and emails from clients, ensuring they feel looked after, supported and heard.
- Ensuring our office’s meeting rooms and facilities are kept clean and tidy
- Supporting our Legal teams with administrative tasks and optimising the use of internal systems to process information.
- Applying your keen eye across general filing, photocopying and archiving management to spot opportunities for improvement so that we can stay ahead of the pack and deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
- Actively working as a team player and assisting in ad-hoc responsibilities – your proactive nature to look for work won’t go unnoticed here!
- Previous experience within a reception or business support position.
- Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills.
- Keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills
- You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.
- You’ll be naturally empathetic and have a resolute passion for helping people, especially those who may be experiencing trauma.
- You’ll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support for clients.
- The ability to work 3 days per week, between Monday to Friday, an doing the hours of 8:15am to 5:00pm.
