Job Summary:
A responsible person to coordinate administrative support activities. Providing administrative support to the staff at increasing levels of complexity; scheduling and directing telephone traffic; managing complex filing system in both paper and electronic versions; planning, and/or providing administrative support for conferences and other special events involving internal and external public; handling travel; and assisting with development and implementation of major research projects, as needed. Normal working hours are M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Work outside normal hours is sometimes required due to special projects and deadlines. Three to four times per year to attend meetings and training workshops as deemed necessary by the Assistant Director.

High School/GED and five years of related experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field and two years administrative experience. Experience with Research.gov
