Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepares food on both hot and cold production lines. Prepares all order items according to the order slip and adhering to recipe’s method of preparation. Maintains quality and freshness of products at all times. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Prevents cross contamination of food products. Utilizes hair coverings and gloves at all times while working in kitchen.
  • Actively solves problems wherever possible. Correct storage of food items in designated areas, and use of FIFO method. Weighs, labels and dates all food items, stores in designated areas.
  • Cleans countertop, plexiglass windows, walls, shelves, drain screens and floor mats. Sends all utensils to be washed and when returned - checks to see that all utensils are properly stored. Empties sanitizer and takes out trash.
  • Correct labeling, weighing, dating, and use of all food products. Greets and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner. Provides suggestions and input to supervisor.

  • Basic knowledge of job content, practices and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to multi-task under stressful situations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently reaches, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries and pushes
  • Often withstands large workload in high heat environment
  • Ability to transport and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.
