Labourer 3 (2 Positions)

Road and utility infrastructure preventative maintenance works associated with surface works, underground utilities, pump stations, street furnishings, and water features. Conducts inspections, repairs, removal, replacement, installations and minor construction works.

Landscaping and turf management – assists in all aspects of landscaping including lawn care, turf management, watering/irrigation, tree care, weed mitigation, and garden bed maintenance.

Moving and Event Service – furniture assembly and disassembly, and equipment and material moves varying in scale and complexity. Supports major event setups on campus such as exams, convocation, and other relevant requests.

Waste Management – Collects waste, recycling and organics from residential and academic areas using assigned collection routes. Lifts and empties bags and wheeled carts onto collection trucks and empties curbside waste containers using automated or manual collection methods, and washes and sanitizes carts. Provides swamper support to equipment operators and may be assigned to work at waste facilities. Tracks and monitors data for billing and waste diversion reporting.

Building maintenance and project support – assists with general trade support like construction demolition, scaffolding, complex rigging, coring, asbestos removal, contractor access, insulation, preventative maintenance works, and other relevant tasks
