Warehouse Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly organized and dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Vancouver. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring timely availability of materials and tools for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing materials and equipment in the warehouse.
• Maintain an inventory of stock, ensuring that items are correctly labeled and stored in appropriate locations.
• Prepare materials and tools for distribution to job sites as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment from delivery trucks.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or excess inventory to the warehouse supervisor.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (if certified), to move large or heavy items.
• Follow safety protocols to avoid accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in conducting regular stock audits and reconciling inventory records.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in warehouse or construction material handling is an advantage.
• Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of inventory management and storage practices is preferred.
