Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Production Manager will initially oversee all Alpha Jet Return to Service (RTS) Maintenance activities from initial aircraft inspection and repair through Functional Check Flight (FCF) and certification. The Production Manager is accountable to the VP of Aircraft Production to ensure all RTS and assembly activities are planned, executed and reported in accordance with program/project plans and delivered on schedule and on budget. The Production Manager may also be tasked with specific business improvement projects to support other production needs as required by the VP of Aircraft Production.
- Oversees Suppliers (internal & external) RTS maintenance in France, Canada or other designated locations as required.
- Manage and provide input into supplier contractual agreements including MSA’s and SOW’s
- Manage Supplier daily activities and priorities as needed and ensure they are complying with contractual requirements
- Coordinates with Fleet Management (FM) to ensure aircraft configuration and maintenance program tasks are complied with as agreed with certification authorities.
- Performs Project Management and/or staff work in support of Alpha Jet (AJ) production to include coordination with Project Management Office (PMO) in the development of gate approvals.
- Coordinates with Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) to ensure parts are available on time for production through purchasing and/or repair orders
- Oversees budget and makes calculated decisions to balance cost vs budget vs on time delivery
- In collaboration with the VP of Aircraft Production, acts as liaison within the customer programs to support AJ needs regardless of client program and mitigating any negative impact to the production of the aircraft in work.
- Performs other tasks as requested by the DoM in support of the CATS program.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or in a related field;
- A university or college degree;
- Military experience a plus;
- Aviation experience, an asset;
- Adaptability to listen, analyze, and convey new solutions to drive project performance and client satisfaction results;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers;
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook);
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service;
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices;
- Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Service, Excellence, Integrity and Together;
- Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values.
Supervisory, Training and Advisory Responsibilities:
- Supervising, approving timesheets, and vacation requests for:
- Aircraft Maintenance Technicians;
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

- Providing a safe and healthy workplace including the necessary equipment, systems, and tools which are properly maintained
- Providing information, training, instruction and supervision to protect the Occupational Health and Safety of Employees
- Ensuring Employees under their direction know and comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Ensuring Employees under their direction receive adequate supervision.
- Establishing, supporting, and consulting with Occupational Health and Safety committees and Workplace Occupational Health and Safety representatives on all matters to improve workplace Occupational Health and Safety including regular safety inspections of the workplace.
