Fire Safety Engineer

Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) is seeking applications for the positions of Fire Safety Engineer.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Fire Protection Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Candidates having CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist), CFI (Certified Fire Inspector) would be preferred.
• Should have good knowledge related to emergency management, firefighting and EERA (Escape, Evacuation & Rescue Analysis) in hydrocarbon facilities.
• Knowledge of QRA, FERA and F&G mapping is a must.
• Should be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

• Up to 8 years' of HSE experience.
• Should have experience in Fire Safety / Loss Prevention.
• Should have sound working knowledge of chemistry concerning fire and hazardous materials and codes such as NFPA/API Standards, Fire Pre-plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support during incidents/drills and investigations as required.
• Perform mentoring and coaching activities to develop firefighting / protection team.
• Perform as primary advisor to Department Head on fire administration, procedures, fire prevention programs & training.
• Plan routine inspections, of fire emergency network.
• Participate in Committees, task forces and subsequent reviews related to department business, emergency planning programs including emergency response plan, fire pre plans and major exercises; and enforce compliance of company and department safety policies and procedures.
• Provide help in planning and implementing company and public fire safety education programs.
