5. Position Summary: The Diabetes Centre (TDC) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join as the HoD Procurement. The ideal candidate will spearhead initiatives to enhance our management capabilities, drive strategic planning, and lead analytical efforts that support our mission. This position involves strategic planning, policy development, supplier relationship management, and leading a team of procurement professionals to achieve organizational goals. The HoD - Procurement plays a critical role in cost management, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

6. Key Responsibilities:

a) Strategic Procurement Planning:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Forecast procurement needs and develop strategies to ensure the timely availability of required goods and services.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
• Monitor and report on procurement activities to senior management.

b) Supplier Management:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms for the organization.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.

c) Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

d) Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Ensure the organization has contingency plans in place for critical supply disruptions.

e) Budget and Cost Control:

• Develop and manage the procurement budget.
• Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
• Analyze procurement data and generate reports for management review.

f) Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between the procurement department and other departments.

7. Qualification & Experience:

• Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement, Certified professional in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing Management with min 05 years of experience.

8. Age:

Age Limit maximum 50 years.
