Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to contribute to the provision of a safe and effective hospital pharmacy service that is aligned to organisational goals and values, best practice, professional standards and legislative requirements. Undertake technical and support tasks under the supervision of senior Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacists

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service to hospital patients and staff by upholding organisational values and code of conduct.
Process invoice payments for prescriptions in accordance with departmental procedures.
Assist pharmacists with the preparation, recording and auditing of Schedule 8 medicine orders for hospital wards and clinical areas including liaising with the multidisciplinary team to complete orders.
