Position Highlights

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Research Technician I. The position's primary purpose is to provide vital support for laboratory activities including lab ordering, scheduling, and ensuring the smooth operation of the lab. Additionally, the role involves assisting with scientific writing tasks to facilitate clear and concise communication of research findings. Other support for laboratory activities includes assisting with maintaining lab equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with lab ordering. Purchasing lab supplies, equipment and materials. Assist with keeping inventory of materials and restocking when needed
• Assist with lab scheduling and organization. Help schedule lab activities including meetings, experiments, and equipment usage
• Assist with maintaining lab equipment. Operate, maintain, clean and troubleshoot lab equipment. Contact vendor for repairs and calibration when necessary
• Under supervision, collaborate with the research team and help to gather information for manuscripts, reports, and documentation of research findings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in written and oral communication with the ability to communicate in clear and concise manner
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact with researchers, staff and vendors
